Turmeric tea

Ingredients

  • 2 inch n‍
  • Cup of water

Why?

Good for your gut and reducing inflammation

How?

  • Slice turmeric into thin rounds (no wider than ¼-inch), add to saucepan of water
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat. Pour mixture through a mesh sieve into a mug.
  • Serve with a lemon or orange round and/or a light drizzle of honey or maple syrup, to taste. Serve hot.

Additional options

  • Cinnamon stick for a little additional flavour
  • Sprinkle of black pepper (black pepper works great with turmeric)
  • Slice of Lemon, orange or lime
  • Sprig of mint
